The Bernia Ridge Traverse - a fantastic day out that offers a unique mountain experience combining walking, scrambling and a little climbing (a short, fully bolted F4+ section which can be aided if necessary).  The Bernia Ridge, the most spectacular ridge in the Costa Blanca, stretches for about 5 miles northward from Calpe and dominates the skyline for miles around.  With consistently stunning exposure on both sides this trip definitely has the “wow factor” and you will be blown away by the panoramic views as we walk the ridge from end to end.

Only basic climbing experience is needed as you will be accompanied by a fully qualified instructor /guide, but you need to have a reasonable level of fitness and a sense of adventure.

Technical details: Scrambling up to grade 3 - one pitch of grade F4 climb - 5 or 6 short abseils all of which are fully bolted.

Tips: Wear long trousers to protect your legs from dense undergrowth. Wear either walking or rock boots. Platypus water bottle is recommended. Take some money so you can have a beer at the Bernia restaurant afterwards - it will go down like a dream!    Don´t forget your camera!
